Missing One Tooth

This patient is in her mid 20's. She was congenitally missing both of her lateral incisors. The
missing teeth were restored using two implants, two custom abutments and implant crowns

The next 8 photos show, in detail, how screw retained implant temporary crowns are made.

Above picture was taken one day after 2nd stage surgery. 2nd stage surgery involves exposing buried implant heads and connecting healing abutments.

Temporary abutments are connected to the implants.
These temporary abutments will be cut down to a size that will accommodate temporary crowns.

This shows the temporary abutments prepared to
correct size.

painted the temporary abutments with opaquer to
mask silver metal color.

The holes you see on the top of the teeth are where crews go in; they get sealed with tooth colored
filling material.

Immediately after insertion of the temporary
implant crowns. It is still one day after the 2nd
stage surgery.

Two weeks after the temporary implant crown delivery. Notice the gum healing and maturing around the crowns. Almost all the anterior implant crown cases require fabrication of temporary crowns to mold and finalize the shape of the gum around implant crowns prior to taking impression for definitive crowns.
